This manifesto, titled “Our Values Are Under Threat”, is a public declaration on the moral and historical responsibility of Europe to defend the principles of democracy, human dignity, justice, freedom, and cultural integrity. It recalls the immense human cost, nearly 250 million lives lost, through centuries of wars, revolutions, persecutions, and struggles that shaped modern European civilization. The text calls upon European institutions, governments, and citizens to remember that the freedoms enjoyed today were forged through the suffering and courage of countless individuals, from Socrates and Jesus to modern thinkers, writers, and human rights defenders. It warns against the growing threats of authoritarianism, discrimination, and institutional complacency, urging a renewed commitment to the rule of law, equality, and artistic and intellectual freedom. This manifesto represents a moral appeal rather than a political statement. It is a collective reminder that the protection and advancement of human values are not optional ideals but ethical imperatives that determine the future of Europe and humanity.

Bu çalışma, insanın evrendeki varoluşunu “tarafsız gözlemci” rolü üzerinden teolojik ve felsefi bir bağlamda ele almaktadır. Temel iddia, insanın yalnızca var olmakla sınırlı olmadığı; bilinç, özgür irade ve değer üretme kapasitesiyle Tanrı’nın sessizliği içinde anlam inşa etmek üzere yaratıldığıdır. Çalışmada, ilahi gizlilik, bilinç felsefesi ve etik-epistemolojik yaklaşımlar ışığında, bilincin indirgenemez bir nitelik taşıdığı ve biyolojik evrimle açıklanamayacak kadar özgün bir statüye sahip olduğu savunulmaktadır. Kozmik tarih, bilinçsiz tanıklıktan bilinçli gözleme geçiş olarak yorumlanmakta; insanın evrendeki rolü, Tanrı’nın doğrudan müdahalesi olmaksızın özgür bir şekilde etik, estetik ve metafizik değerler üretmesiyle açıklanmaktadır. Ayrıca çalışmada, “ilahi gizlilikte hassas bozunum” kavramı öne sürülmekte; Tanrı’nın sevgisinin belirli zamanlarda gizlilik perdesini delerek vahiy, ilham ya da tarihsel müdahaleler yoluyla insanlığa ulaştığı iddia edilmektedir. Kur’an, Kitab-ı Mukaddes, Hindu ve Budist metinler gibi farklı geleneklerden örnekler, insanın düşünmeye, gözlem yapmaya ve değer üretmeye çağrıldığı ortak tema üzerinden incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, tarafsız gözlemci rolü, insanın varoluşunun merkezinde yer almakta ve onun özgür iradesiyle Tanrı’nın sessizliğini yorumlamasını, etik ve estetik değerler üretmesini ve nihayetinde varlık amacını gerçekleştirmesini mümkün kılmaktadır.

This paper explores the paradox of a silent God in an immense universe. Instead of viewing this silence as divine absence, it argues that this is a deliberate feature of reality, a carefully arranged stage designed for humanity's core purpose: to act as conscious and impartial observers. Placed at a safe epistemic distance, we are tasked not with passive belief, but with actively interpreting the universe as a kind of silent text. We are meant to generate ethical and existential meaning from our observations, a task that would be impossible under the direct influence of an ever-present authority. The paper also explores how divine love creates 'delicate breaks' in this hiddenness, offering guidance without destroying the freedom essential for authentic moral development. By re-examining concepts from theology, philosophy of consciousness, and sacred texts, this study re-frames our existence. Our purpose is not merely to live, but to observe, interpret, and shoulder the responsibility of the meanings we create in a universe designed for our freedom.
